Mike’s experience in the finance sector is extensive, having worked in banking to the level of manager followed by 9 years’ experience as a mortgage broker.

Mike’s interests in property on a personal basis have been as an investor, developer and home owner which have helped him identify the needs of the borrower.

For Mike, wife Dawn and their three children Charnce, Bronsyn and Lockie, the opportunity to enjoy family time is a major focus, together with being avid sports fans, both as spectators and participants.

Jonathan has been involved in the finance and insurance industry for over 10 years both in New Zealand and abroad. Working previously as a mortgage broker for four years, he now specialises in advising clients on risk insurances.

Jonathan understands the importance of quality financial advice and is well qualified through his experiences to assist clients in creating a risk management plan that matches their needs and allows them to protect their financial and lifestyle goals.

A family man, married to Anita, he has two sons; Daniel and Matthew. Jonathan's interests range from sport to socialising with family and friends.

Up until August 2007, Brian owned Mortgage Works Ltd, having previously been a mortgage broker since 1985. Brian also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and has solid experience in mortgages and commercial lending.

He was involved in setting up the New Zealand Mortgage Brokers’ Association (NZMBA) and is the immediate-past Chairman.  The NZMBA was set-up to ensure good ethics and practices within the industry.

Brian and his wife Glenys have three children.  Daughter Alice is at university, with sons Michael and Geoffrey still at home and keenly involved in their sports.

Having worked for over 17 years in the Investment Banking industry in London, Kevin & his young family decided to relocate back to New Zealand to enjoy the lifestyle that Tauranga has to offer.

The knowledge and skills that Kevin gained as a senior manager during his career in banking and his dealings in the property market meant that mortgage broking was an ideal fit for him to progress his career.

Kevin prides himself on being able to simplify things for his clients whilst providing a professional service and commitment that is second to none.

Kevin, his wife Vanessa and three children, Lauren, Callum and Ciaran enjoy participating and watching sport as well as socialising with friends and family.

John Petch joined the Rothbury team in May 2009.

Don Lines is Rotorua’s Mortgage Adviser for Rothbury Financial Services.  Don has been in banking for over 14 years, with the last couple of years focused in lending. Don has worked previously for the Rotorua branches of BNZ, ASB and more recently with ANZ as a personal banker/manager.
 
Don coaches various rugby teams and enjoys fishing, hunting and many other outdoor sports. Don lives in Ngongotaha with his wife Nandia and their two dogs.

Prior to living in New Zealand, Alison was involved in the Financial Services industry in the UK for over 16 years. 

Working as a Financial Adviser within The Royal Bank of Scotland Branch network before advancing to Senior Financial Planner within the Independent arm of the RBS where her business was focused on the banks High Net Worth customers specialising in all aspects of Financial Planning including Life Assurance, Investment and Retirement Planning. Prior to this Alison previously worked as a Mortgage Adviser with a National Estate Agent for six years.

Alison and Fiancé Peter love living in Tauranga with their two dogs and are heavily involved in Football with Peter being Head Coach of Tauranga City Football Club.  They also share a passion for property.

Alison is passionate about helping her clients meet their goals.

Richard joins the Rothbury Financial Services team as specialist Mortgage and Risk Adviser.

Prior to his financial services career Richard gained training and solid grounding in sales and marketing for DB Breweries, Independent Liquor and Eves Realty over a 12 year period.

Richard has a comprehensive knowledge of the local real estate market and appreciates that many of his contemporaries in their 30’s and 40’s are buying and selling property.  They like to deal with a professional they can identify with, one who speaks their language and gets the job done.

Richard is also very passionate about ensuring his clients protect what is important to them, through a range of insurance options.

Together with fiancée Amy, they make the most of the Bay of Plenty lifestyle.  Richard enjoys running, surfing and all sports, especially rugby and cricket.

Catherine joins the Rothbury team as an administrator.  Prior to joining Rothbury Financial Services she has worked for a prominent mortgage broking firm for 12 years so is very familiar with the mortgage process to assist our clients and our mortgage advisers.

Catherine is a keen netballer, likes socialising and spending time with friends.

Frances is the Receptionist at Rothbury.  Having worked previously for a mortgage broking firm as receptionist for six years, Frances has plenty of experience with clients.  A background in real estate also helps her assist clients when they call the office.

Outside of work, Frances belongs to a Tai Chi group.
